Mission and Philosophy

The mission of Avenue Preschool is to provide a nurturing, high quality early education experience that focuses on the whole child.

 

Our goal is to support each child’s unique abilities, while offering a program that enhances each child’s intellectual, social, emotional and physical development.
 

Our program offers an inclusive environment, and welcomes children of diverse backgrounds. We strive to make necessary accommodations to enhance each child’s opportunity for learning. ​

Facility

Avenue Preschool is located in the educational wing of Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford, DE.  We have a secure, locked facility equipped with a buzz-in system and video monitoring.  Our classrooms are bright, spacious and cheerful.  Staff members have access to a multitude of resources and efficiently arranged workroom/planning areas. 

 

Our outside play space consists of a large, cushioned, fenced-in playground with age-appropriate play equipment, covered gazebo and a separate fenced-in hard surface area for riding and ball-play.
